"In your opinion, where does the 30 million deaths during the Great Leap Forward rank with other mass casualty events in the 20th century (ie. Hitler and Stalin attrocities)?" The Great leap Forward is an atrocity that does not get a lot of puplisity, opposed to other atrocities that get much more attention. 30 million deaths is a huge number huge. "one death is a tragicity a million is a statistic"- stalin. This event reminds me of this quote because in a lot of the world this event was no recognized ie is just a statistic. This event should be rembedred more for how large and how lethal it was. it was and should be remembered as an event that was just as bad as the Nazis genocide and Stalins rule. Only 11 million jews died in the holocaust the great leap forward is more than twice that! and it gets a third of awareness. "To what extent were the Japanese partially responsible for bringing communism to China?" Japan is partly responsible for communism in China because when they attacked China, Mao defend them. Which made Mao and his politics good. So then Chinese people saw him as a hero and followed him. As Mao gained popularity his oposion lost popularity. So when the civil war connuted Mao had more support agent Change, and pushed him and his people to Taiwan.
